Concept of Moksha(Salvation) Part-I

Introduction

When we talk about Moksha or liberation or weather salvation has so many concepts all around world. First to say in Christianity it advocates that a person live only one life and don’t have to come back on this earth to complete the life circle. So Christianity has a belief that a person whatever he/she do in his/her life time here on earth he/she get paid for that when one day the lord will come; one day on earth to give the fruit and punishment for their doings. It’s some what same in Mohammedanism where they prophet that once when the day of Kayamt will come; each body buried in earth will come out and the lord will give justice to them.

But when we talk about Liberation in Indian context; it is totally different from many other religions all around the world. The philosophies of Indian differ and advocate that the ultimate goal of a person is to get free from the circle of life and death and that is called Moksha. A person can or most probably the soul that is free from sin, desire and worldly things get stuck in the process of negligence when a person start neglecting it on the daily choir of his life; so to say one has to think about his ultimate reality soul has to be free and get Moksha.

The Indian philosophies that deal in this context are Upnishadas, Brahmsutras, Bhagwad Gita, Ashtang Yoga and many others. The goal of each one is to give a soul Moksha. The one interesting one is Bhagwad Gita that prophet “A person should do Nishkam Karma because a person is bound to do Karma weather he likes it or not.” In the same manner one can get Moksha when he is embodied and don’t have to die for getting Moksha.
