In 2014 Modi government came in power in center with thumping majority to change the course of the nation in big way. Initiation of the government was toward the black money stuffed in foreign countries not a single penny till date has been recovered under Modi's government.
The big promise of the Modi's government was to clean the River Ganga from Haridwar to Gangasagar. Government put all its machinery under the project changed the union minister once but till date has not yielded anything at all.
The pious river is still lingering with sewage and garbage. Pollutant particles from Industrial waste is been directly discharged in the river.
While hearing on this the court has once stated that "Government is wasting the public money in the name of River Ganga" but Government is in no mood to correct the wrong at all.
At least the current data on the National Mission for Clean Ganga suggests that. Out of 102 sewage projects only 23 is completed partially and 68 are either under process or tendering. River surface cleaning is not started till date. 2 projects of River front development is not started till date or partially lingering lethargically. Out of 37 Projects of Crematorium 28 are in initial phase or not started till date.
There are numerous issues when contacted on that Union Minister for Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation Nitin Gadkari told that up to March 2019 approximately 80% of Ganga will be pollution free another promise.
