Marriages are an integral part of Indian society. However, with changing times, this tradition is getting more and more, less followed. Today people are ready to wait for the right time and right partner to get married, even if it means not getting married even until their late forties, while some others remain a bachelor throughout their life. Bollywood, mind you, is no exception to this. For various reasons unknown, there are many celebs in B-town who have remained unmarried. While some have turned into single parents, some others are enjoying their bachelorhood to the core. Here we give you a rundown of Bollywood celebrities who have remained unmarried so far...
Salman Khan
The one name that naturally pops out when you talk about celebs who have not married is none other than Bollywood superstar Salman Khan. Salman is undoubtedly one of the most eligible bachelors of B-town.
Although the actor has been in alleged romantic relationships over the years, he has restrained himself from getting hitched. His affairs with actresses like Aishwarya Rai, Sangeeta Bijlani and Katrina Kaif has been quite known. However, the actor has never really accepted any of his relationships publicly.
The actor is currently allegedly dating Romanian model Iulia Vantur who is always spotted with Salman and his family in most of their family functions, parties and outings.
Tabu
Tabu remains to this day one of the brilliant actresses we have in Bollywood. She has mesmerised the audience with choices of films and some power pact performances. Although we have seen the actress romancing onscreen many times, in real life, however, Tabu, who is currently in her early 40s, is still unmarried.
Tabu was reportedly in a relationship with Sajid Nadiadwala. However, they both broke up apparently due to personal differences. She was rumoured to be in a relationship with Telugu superstar Nagarjuna too.
Sushmita Sen
Sushmita Sen is a Bollywood diva in all sense of the term. The former Miss Universe has had her share of love affairs. However, nothing really materialised into marriage. The former beauty queen has never shied away from admitting when she is love and nor has she been ever afraid of living life on her terms.
The actress might not have tied the knot but she has not let her marital status deny her the experience of being a mother. The actress has adopted two beautiful daughters. While she adopted her first daughter Renee in the year 2000, she adopted her second daughter Alisah in 2010.
Ameesha Patel
Ameesha Patel won the hearts of the audience right from her debut Bollywood film ‘Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai’ opposite Hrithik Roshan who was also a debutante at that time. The actress, who is currently missing from the silver screen for quite some time now, was in an alleged relationship with a few but never really committed for marriage to anyone.
The actress was rumoured to have had an affair with Bollywood director Vikram Bhatt. The duo first met on the sets of their first movie together ‘Aap Mujhe Achche Lagne Lage’. The alleged couple, however, broke up in 2008. She was also reportedly in a relationship with London-based businessman Kanav Puri. Rumour mills were abuzz with reports of their marriage but the actress rubbished all such reports.
Karan Johar
Karan Johar is one of the most noted filmmakers of Bollywood. Although the actor comes from a known family in B-town, his personal life remained a mystery to many until he came out with his biography recently where he spoke about various things.
The actor has been in news for allegedly being gay and his relationships. However, the director neither confirmed nor denied those reports. His film ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ starring Ranbir Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Anushka Sharma was touted to be based on his personal life. The filmmaker, who spoke about unrequited love, remained unmarried in real life too. He recently became the father of two through surrogacy. He has named his twin as Yash and Roohi.
Tusshar Kapoor
Despite being a star kid and getting a dream launch in ‘Mujhe Kuch Kehna Hai’ opposite Kareena Kapoor Khan, Tusshar Kapoor failed to make it big in Bollywood. The actor was linked up with actress Radhika Apte and Amrita Rao during the course of his career. However, nothing seemed to have materialised.
The actor then decided to be a single parent without getting married. He is today a proud father of his son Laksshya born out of surrogacy. Laksshya Kapoor, who recently turned one in April, is the apple of the eye of the Kapoor family.

He has apparently said that he fills that gap by writing and creating passionate love stories and that this is the way he has chosen to lead his life.
