Morning breakfast in Banaras - Kashi Patrika

Morning breakfast in Banaras

What do you have in your breakfast bread-butter, sandwiches, juice, cornflakes or simple roti and sprouted moong/chana. Now a days we prefer to eat healthy meal,we try to start our day with supposed to be a healthy meal for our body. I know you are not eating easily 'maa ke haath ka khana' to say that mom its too oily or heavy I don't want to gain weight I am on diet, please bring something less in calories to me.
Its good to take care of your health by watching your meal. but don't you think that the concept of healthy food is not this one like; 'no to the fat food' or  anything we intake must be little in quantity. It seems more like a market gimmick and way of promoting packed food.
In India eating shudhh ghee makes you healthy, glass of milk brings shine on your face, eating roti and daal is not going to increase your weight.
Banaras still follows the old menu concept to prepare food, to eat desi nashta is what we think brings health.but something more  interesting is that we have a culture to have our breakfast out side at our favorite and many years old shops still promise to serve delicious banarasi nashta and take guaranty of purity of theirs shudhh-deshi- pakwan. Male members of the family go out to eat nashta and ask it to be packed for home. now you must be thinking, do the ladies at the home can't cook for the family, and the answer is here, this morning time is being reserved for worship both going to mandir for darsh and cleaning and worshiping at home and in this way worship for hours in the morning and evening is part of the daily routine. So the home-makers handle the most important thing of the day,the pooja, men solve the problem of empty stomach.
Menu of Banarasi Nashta or Breakfast includes; Jalebi, Kachaudi-sabji, Matar -chuda, specially made in desi ghee.
So here I'm revealing my own mantra for you,'Eat Banarasi nashta and get down/climb up the stairs of ghaat and mandir if possible twice a day" you will remain fit from inside-out.
