Impact of 1991's liberalizations on economy-A Puppet Show (2)

Thanks to the Liberalization of 1991 Indian industries came under the immense competitive pressure of foreign companies in its growing stage. To top the cake with a cherry government initiated the process of disinvestment of public undertaking companies & sectors which were the strength of the India economy.

See a rough figure how much money government generated through divestment:

One thing that came through this liberalization was corruption of highest level. Whosoever made the government initiated a process of disinvestment and earned a big chunk of money through corruption.

Experts believe that this process brought betting and private investment in elections through undisclosed sources and after selection government were indirectly providing benefits to these entities.

In the name of disinvestment and making government more focused and viable to the people it lieu off most of it's hold on the economy and brought foreign investment in big number.

Experts believe that these investors time and again have decided the direction of Indian economy as now the general accepted phenomenon was that market decides the course of action of a country.

Now this process in going in full swing as government is liberalizing all the sectors & public industries even the profit making in the hands of private investment and in the name of development and prosperity.

Experts believes that this brought the capitalism in big number in our country and now taking hold of most of the entities in India. If this process will go on like this the gap of poor and rich which increase as the first requirement of market driven economy is competition between economy classes.
