President visits the highest battlefield in the world

President Ram Nath Kovind visited Siachen glacier to meet soldiers posted at the India-Pakistan border. The temperatures at the military post can often reach -50 degrees Celsius (-122 Fahrenheit). According to the Indian government, 869 soldiers have lost their lives in the glacier because of climatic conditions.
