A call from my brother on a fine Sunday morning, was watching "Satyamev Jayate", it was the last episode of this serial so was involving in it. He said his friend's mother was no more with us. i cut the call and tears were in my eyes, second time was hearing the news of someone's death who was very close to me and my family. first time it was my father and at that time i was too young to understand what i had lost, lost forever.
After half an hour or so i have decided to go to see my aunty who was such a sweet lady and was adorable to all who know her, i never heard her utter any complaints in all the years we had been meeting and it had been 12 years for our family knowing each other.
She was my brother's best friend's mother n her daughter is a good friend of mine and sister.
i reached her home it was raining then, i entered the main gate n if it were some other day my aunty must have been watching me from balcony and i were waving her in response but that day i was seeing her lying under the porch, not able to see me, not able to smile, not able to offer me tea, delicious food or not able to ask me to come and watch some serial or Nirmal baba's show with her.
Now i saw my friend was crying restlessly and asking everyone that how she'l live without her mother, has she lost her mother forever, i stopped shedding tears after realising her pain and it was needed to hide it infront of a daughter who had lost her loving mother and the girl who was aware that her mother was not goin to come back no matter how hard she may cry this time and still was calling her mother back so they both might live together.
We were facing the ultimate truth of life, sooner or later, all will face the same end.
But till we are alive....
Its hard to believe, its hard to accept, its hard to remember, its hard to forget, its hard to move on, its hard to stay, its hard to smile, its hard to visit the vacant place again, now i come to realise that it is the hardest thing to say last good bye.
