On 26 May, 2014 Modi government took oath with a complete majority of it's own. Forming a government in an alliance in NDA the BJP continued the policy of a collision government of it's predecessor. Since than the government has taken a number of decisions so far. Now as the Karnataka's elections are over and the election's campaigning of few more states are in full swing the country wants to know the achievements of Modi's Government.
Black Money
First Decision of Modi Government was creating pannel to locate the estimated Rs 50,000 crore ($8 billion) in 'black money' estimated to have been stashed away in tax havens abroad.
On the front of bringing back the black money to India government has not yield much on concrete ground after completing it's tenure of 4 years. Many believe that demonetization was a cover up to save face of the government from not able to bring back the black money from foreign countries to India.
Niti Ayog
Modi government is known for changing law in course of a day twice as it has scraped many of the redundant laws so far. Modi government scrapped the Planning Commission that existed for 50 years as it had not moved with the times. Government brought the Niti Ayog as a replacement of the Planning commission. the opposition claimed that the Niti Ayog is not a structural change but is a change of the name of an institution from earlier one.
Jandhan Yojana
It’s going to be four years since the Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off the country’s biggest ever bank account opening drive – Jan Dhan Yojana – which aims to give every household access to the banking facilities by offering them zero-balance accounts across all commercial banks.
this big drive by the Modi government is battered as well as the reports suggest that this inclusion scheme was mistakenly formed as most of the opening of accounts in Jan Dhan Yojana have already had a saving account. Governments claims in reach is questioned as well by individual research.
Demonetization
Modi government took the decision of demonetization in a hurry just before the Uttar Pradesh elections without much preparations that caused many lives. the impact of demonetization to counter black money in economy is still to be studied in long run. this decision of the government again brought the opposition to say that government took a decision in a hurry and planned it in a manner that to benefit his alliances putting people in ques.
GST
Modi's government decision to implement GST was questioned two times as whether the country is ready or not for this sort of complicated tax regime. among the more criticism the government implemented it and business organizations still find it difficult to understand.
as the country is steadly moving in the mood of center's elections of 2019 the path of the Modi government is looking hard to gauge as most of it's decisions has no on-ground visibility. government has till date not completed a single scheme in full. the employment schemes has not yielded much and Made In India has still not launched from it's platform.
