In an interview with Dawn, Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif appeared to admit that "non-state actors" were allowed to cross the border into India to carry out the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks that killed over 160 people.
Without naming the 26/11 Mumbai attack mastermind Hafiz Saeed and Maulana Masood Azhar's militant organisations Jamaat-ud-Dawah & Jaish-e-Mohammad, operating in Pakistan with impunity, Sharif said: "Militant organisations are active in Pakistan."
Former Pakistan PM Nawaz Sharif's statement is very important for Indian govt. This proves that when Sharif was Pakistan PM,he was aware of the 26/11 attack, but still didn't try to end its trial: Ujjwal Nikam, Indian public prosecutor on Nawaz Sharif's interview over 26/11 attack.
